NBA star Tristan Thompson is making the most of back-to-school season — and this time, his 8-year-old son Prince got the VIP treatment.
On Wednesday, August 13, the 34-year-old athlete posted a rare Instagram Reel of himself driving Prince to school, with the third grader riding shotgun. “Someone’s in the front seat today, huh?” Thompson says in the clip before asking, “Big third grader — what are you most excited about for third grade?”
Prince’s answer? Scoring a Chromebook. “You can bring them home and bring them to school,” he explained, adding that he’s also looking forward to the prizes his class will offer this year.

Thompson shares Prince with ex Jordan Craig. He’s also dad to daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 3, with ex Khloé Kardashian, as well as son Theo, 4, with Maralee Nichols.
Just weeks ago, Thompson shared heartwarming snaps from Tatum’s third birthday party, showing the birthday boy posing with big sister True, cousin Dream Kardashian, and even big brother Prince. One photo caught Prince peeking out from behind Dream, while others showed the boys enjoying cake and party fun.

“Big hugs and kisses for my little Tatum’s Bday! I love you forever young king. This just the beginning, more pics to come ,” Thompson wrote at the time.
Thompson has also given fans rare glimpses of his bond with Prince in the past — including last September, when he shared a father-son photoshoot of the two in matching sneakers and folded-arm poses, earning a like from Kim Kardashian herself.
